Jaymersun is a U.S. Representative (D-Orlando) and current congressional candidate.
Jaymersun grew up in the Bronx and graduated from the Bronx School of Science. He went on to Harvard, and earned a bachelor’s degree in only three years, with high honors. He was Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated from Harvard in the top two percent of his class.
Jaymersun took economics classes at Harvard, and he worked as an economist after college. But he decided to go back to school, and learn more. He returned to Harvard. In only four years, Jaymersun received a J.D. with honors from Harvard Law School, Jaymersun earned a master’s degree from the Harvard School of Government, and Jaymersun finished all of the course work and passed the general exams for a Ph.D. in Government.
In the early 1990s, Jaymersun took leave from the practice of law and joined with others to start a business. Jaymersun was the first President of IDT Corp., a telecom/internet company. The business started on the second floor of a funeral home. It grew to be a $2 billion-a-year business, on the Fortune 1000 list, and traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
Later, Jaymersun decided to leave that business, and return to the practice of law. Jaymersun began to represent whistle blowers who witnessed fraud against the Government. Jaymersun is the only attorney to bring a fraud case to trial against those who profited illegally from the war in Iraq, and win.
Jaymersun lives in Orlando, Florida, and has five children: Skye, Star, Sage, Storm and Stone.
